The country and the excursions

The town of Anzonico is located in the Media Leventina at 972 m above sea level with a surface area of 1060 ha approx. 6 km from Lavorgo, and boasts a wonderful sunny and panoramic position over the valley. The agglomeration is characterized by narrow and partly paved streets, with stone or wooden houses that give the town a characteristic appearance of the area almost unchanged over time. The population is about 120 inhabitants.

On the eastern side of the village, on the edge of the small valley of the Ri di Laium, where an interesting educational itinerary is also indicated, there is the chapel of St. Anthony of Padua, a baroque building from 1687. The parish church is dedicated to St. John the Baptist and is located 250 meters south of the village.
